Larry Rogna
Senior Partner

Larry Rogna is in the Chicago office of Came|Sweeney. Mr. Rogna brings 30 years of senior management and consulting experience, including nearly 20 years as a results-proven, business oriented, chief human resources executive, with progressively expanded responsibilities.

Mr. Rogna has developed a reputation as an executive who uses broad and disparate professional experience to contribute strategic thought and leadership to organizations, especially those committed to change. Mr. Rogna believes the success of the enterprise and the strength of its human resources are inextricably linked.

Mr. Rogna brings a breadth of experience to the practice of retained executive search, having solved problems and recruited executives in four different manufacturing sectors: paper and packaging, aerospace and aircraft components, consumer and industrial electrical equipment, and construction products and services.

After completing military service, Mr. Rogna began his career at the U.S. Department of Labor, which led to the National Electrical Contractors Association, and then to CECO, a major construction services and manufactured products company where he gained experience in a full range of plant level human resources functions in union and non-union facilities. At McGraw-Edison, a $1 billion manufacturer of electrical components, he served as Manager, Compensation and Manager, Employee Relations.

Mr. Rogna co-founded People Management, an entrepreneurial consulting endeavor, to assist clients in the start-up of new facilities, improved human resources management and leadership search.

Joining a client, Rohr Industries, Mr. Rogna became Vice President, Human Resources, responsible for developing a professional, business-oriented human resources staff to support the objective of total organization change for the $1.5 billion subcontractor of commercial and military aircraft and aerospace components. He assumed responsibility for site planning and acquisition as well as heading a key business acquisition team as the company grew from 6,000 to nearly 14,000 team members. Mr. Rogna joined Gaylord Container as Vice President, Human Resources, responsible for building the human resources function from the ground up for the $1.2 billion manufacturer of paper and packaging products. He became Senior Vice President responsible for development of the company’s resource improvement effort by leading the business planning, human resources, total quality, safety, environmental and purchasing functions. After 14 years of problem-solving, the company was sold in early 2002.

Mr Rogna established his own retained search practice and in joining Came|Sweeney saw significant and important philosophical and process concurrence.

A native of Michigan, Mr. Rogna graduated from The University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in industrial psychology and from George Washington University with a master’s degree in industrial administration.
